Kodak EasyShare Z885 Review at Imaging Resource
Imaging Resource reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes – “Dave liked the Kodak Z885, Luke said some nice things about it, Rob found it flustering, and I’m not really a fan. You break the tie. Consider the charming, simple design but the slow startup with a lens that protrudes an inch and a half. Factor in the High ISO mode that can get you to ISO 8,000 but the difficulty focusing in low light without an assist lamp. Take into account the Smart Scene modes, but don’t forget you can’t get very close in Macro mode. And don’t discount the annoyance of the long write times. Printed results are good at 4×6 up to ISO 1,600, so it will do decent duty as a snapshot camera even at night if your subject’s close enough. The Kodak Z885 is reasonably good for the money, but you might want to look around a bit for other bargain cameras that deliver a little more.”

Kodak EasyShare C743 Review at Trusted Reviews
Trusted Reviews has a review of the Kodak EasyShare C743 and writes, “The Kodak EasyShare C743′s low price may be a temptation, but don’t be fooled; it actually represents extremely poor value for money. The meagre list of features, horrible zoom control, slow performance, appalling low-light ability, limited battery life and very poor image quality will prove to be a major disappointment for anyone unlucky enough to find themselves in possession of this camera. If the C-series is going the way of the Dodo then the C743 will not be missed.”

Kodak EasyShare V1233

The Kodak V1233 camera offer 12 Megapixels resolution and is capable of shooting pictures at up to 4,000×3000 pixels. And like the new EasyShare Z812 IS the Kodak EasyShare V1233 is able to shoot video at up to 720p resolution; high definition is the key feature. The new Kodak V1233 camera incorporates the Kodak Color Science Chip which has to guarantee bright and live like colours. The Schneider-Kreuznach optical zoom lens (35 mm equivalent: 37–111 mm) lets the photographer close to the subject and the 5x digital zoom enlarges the picture even more. Even face detection is on board of the Kodak EasyShare V1233 digital compact camera. This feature detects faces and automatically adjusts camera settings like focus and metering.
Kodak EasyShare V1233 compact camera – Sensitivity and Stabilization
It seems that the new Kodak EasyShare V1233 lacks optical stabilization and is only offering digital image stabilization. Additionally the Kodak EasyShare V1233 provides also high ISO settings up to 3200 ISO. Officially to be able to capture details in low light conditions, but marketing will be the main reason to integrate such a non-usable feature into a compact camera. Furthermore the Kodak V1233 camera features multiple scene modes such as Children, Back light, Portrait, Snow, Beach and Panorama stich. This last feature is very nice to use in practice, however a 37mm wide’ angle lens is not that interesting for panorama landscape photography.

Kodak EasyShare C875 Review at Macworld
Macworld has a review of the Kodak EasyShare C875 and writes, “In testing, the exposure and contrast of both a still-life shot and a flash photo of a mannequin looked well balanced, with bright and accurate colors. There was little distortion, although several test shots could have been sharper. Overall, the C875 earned average scores for image quality from a jury. The C875 comes with 32MB of internal storage and an SD card slot, but no bundled memory card. The box does include a pair of AA oxy-alkaline batteries, but these lasted a paltry 73 shots in battery tests. The camera can also run on a CRV3 lithium battery or on rechargeable AA cells. … The Kodak EasyShare C875 is a good, inexpensive camera. First-time digital photographers will find it easy to learn, and its more advanced features will give them room to grow over time.”
