Beginning in the first quarter of 2009, Canon will launch a new Canon Professional Services (CPS) program. The program offers three membership levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The Silver level is available free of charge to qualified photographers and includes a welcome kit, access to a special CPS hotline, and a 20% discount on qualified repairs that are listed on the CPS Service items list.

Gold members receive all of the above with a 30% service discount on qualified items, the ability to borrow equipment for two week trial periods and three-day turnaround. Additionally, the anticipated $100 Gold membership includes two free “Check & Clean” vouchers.

For $500 a year, CPS Platinum members receive the base benefits, including a 60% discount on qualified repairs and priority access to two-week equipment loans. Complementing the Platinum expedited two-day turnaround (conditions to be announced when the program launches) on equipment service, Canon will loan members backup equipment if service takes more than two days.

Current members will continue with the CPS program regardless of when their membership expires until the new program is launched. At that time, all members will have to reapply. Go to www.canon.com/cps for more information and, when available, new applications.
